Want to start a Seed Library of your very own? Now you can and The 3 Sisters Seed Box has made it easy! We’ve put together an entire Seed Library in just one box, a Seed Box!
All you have to do is follow these easy steps:
1: Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and shipping address
2: In that email, let us know where you plan on setting up your Seed Library and confirm you have permission to do so. Please keep in mind, the intent of sending out these Seed Boxes is to make Seed Libraries accessible to the people in your community. Ideal locations include Schools, Libraries, Community Centers, Senior Centers, and other locations community members can access.
3: Visit communityseednetwork.org to sign up and register your Seed Library. We want to be sure we can track every Seed Library and that the community will have an easy way to find seeds!
4: Send us a picture of your Seed Library once it’s set up. We’d love to see your progress and share what you’re doing with our community!
***Please note: the goal is to get Seed Libraries in every U.S. state. Therefore, we will be prioritizing the first fifty boxes to one per state. The following fifty boxes will be shipped out on a first come, first served basis.
Each Seed Box will include:
A binder, complete with everything you need to know about Seed Libraries
20 containers to house each seed variety
20 packs of seeds
20 wooden seed label stakes for labeling newly planted seeds
1 pack of envelopes (to check out and return seeds)
1 pack of pens
